Overview of Violin Lessons:
The string family -- the violin, double bass, cello, and viola -- represents some of the oldest and most beautiful instruments in all of music. Proper technique is particularly important with the violin and its cousins. Mobile Music Academy Certified Instructors will help you with one-on-one private training.
Age to Begin Lessons:
We recommend age 5 as a starting point, though some students may be able to start a year earlier using an alternative learning approach.
Purchase Requirements:
Those students looking to upgrade to a high quality stringed instrument should be sure to test out several different types. Older instruments are a good investment, though more expensive than modern models. We will happily give you tips to help you find the right model.
The most affordable entry into stringed instruments is through renting, though the quality is usually low. Still, this is a great option for young children who need a smaller model to start. If they progress well and continue playing as they get older, it makes sense to purchase a full-size model.
